Awareness session to reduce consumption of cooking oil by 10%

 A special awareness session on the theme “Reduction of Cooking Oil by 10%” was conducted at KV GC CRPF, Agartala, on 6th August 2025. The session aimed at promoting healthier eating habits among students and encouraging the reduction of cooking oil consumption to prevent lifestyle-related diseases.


The keynote speaker for the event was Mr. Biplab Kumar Saha, PGT (Biology), who addressed the students with an informative and engaging speech. He emphasized the adverse health effects of excessive oil intake, such as obesity, heart diseases, and diabetes. He also explained the benefits of reducing oil in daily cooking and how small changes in dietary habits can lead to a healthier life.

During the session, a motivational video message by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was displayed. The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of balanced nutrition and urged citizens to take a pledge to reduce oil consumption by 10%, thereby contributing to a healthier nation.

The session was well-received by the students and staff, creating awareness about the importance of mindful eating. It concluded with an interactive Q&A session, reinforcing the key message of the program.

Informative Video Session on UNESCO World Heritage Site (Nalanda University)

The Library of Kendriya Vidyalaya GC CRPF, Agartala organized an informative video session on the World Heritage Site – Nalanda University, utilizing the Interactive Touch Panel to engage students through digital learning.

The session aimed to enhance students’ knowledge about one of India’s most ancient centers of learning and its global historical significance. A documentary video showcasing the history, architecture, and scholarly contributions of Nalanda University was screened. Students from class VIII actively participated and expressed great interest in learning about the rich educational legacy of ancient India.

The interactive format allowed for a dynamic question-and-answer segment post-viewing, where students clarified doubts and shared their reflections. The session helped foster awareness of India’s cultural heritage and promoted digital learning through the use of smart technology in the library.

Outcome:
